Sub: -   Delay in holding DPC for promotion from Postmaster Grade-I to Postmaster Grade-II &        

             Postmaster Grade-II to Postmaster Grade-III in Punjab Circle – Request for intervene the                    case

Respected Sir,

           

This association would like to invite your kind attention towards above referred directorate’s letter for relaxation in promotion as one time measure is to combat the situation of acute shortage of Postmaster Grade-II & Postmaster Grade-III in the circle. For this purpose, the Hon’ble Directorate has already taken kind approval of DOP&T. Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar & Odisha circles have already rendered regular promotion to Postmaster Grade-I against the vacancies of 2016-2017. One by one each circle has already initiated to hold DPC on the pattern & instructions of Dte’s letter ibid.  Postmasters Grade-I & II of Punjab Circle are also eagerly waiting for since long. This association already requested vide its letter No. AIAPC Punjab/Corr/2/2016-2017 dated 26.09.2017 & letter No. AIAPC/Punjab/Corr/07/2016-2017 dated 28.12.2016.

               Due to such delay in holding DPC, the candidates of this circle will lose working seniority for their next promotion and this will have far reaching effect in All India Gradation List of Postmaster Grade-III to the posts of Sr. Postmaster.

               Therefore, this association, requests your goodself to kindly intervene into the matter towards holding DPC on the urgent basis and issue the desired promotion orders at the earliest possible.
