Sub: - Regarding
supply of fake note detecting & counting machines
Respected Sir,
With
humble respect, I want to bring to your kind notice four favourable &
consideration please: -
(1) In
terms of Gazette Notification No. 10/3/2016-CY.1 dated 8th November
2016 issued by Government of India, existing banknotes in the denominations of
Rs.500/- and Rs.1,000/- of Mahatma Gandhi Series issued from 2005 and those
issued prior to 2005, (hereinafter referred to as Withdrawn Old Series, WOS)
has ceased to be legal tender in payment or on account at any place on the
expiry of the 08th day of November, 2016) except to the extent
provided in the Notification. A new series of banknotes (Mahatma Gandhi New
Series) having different size & design, highlighting the cultural heritage
and scientific achievements of the country including Rs.2,000/- notes, has been
issued. All post offices are depositing the WOS banknotes of depositors for
crediting to their Saving Bank accounts and exchanging WOS banknotes in other
bank notes having legal character. After annoucement of this notification,
public are panic to deposit & exchange their WOS bank notes in post
offices. It also need to mention as follow: -
(a) Grade-I
post offices are almost situated in Sub Tehsil are (having covered near 100
villages)
(b) Grade-II
post offices are almost situated in Tehsil area (having covered more than 100
villages)
(c) Grade-III
post offices are almost Head Post
Offices (having control over 20-22 Sub Post Offices)
In
last four days these offices has deposited cash in crores. Postmaster Cadre is
committed to serve the public in better way. To count heavy cash, one
transaction takes much time. Many post offices are facing loss due to fake
banknotes. To overcome this situation, there must be fake detecting &
counting machines.
Therefore,
this association brings the matter in your kind notice and requested to supply
good quality fake detecting & counting machines with latest features to all big offices viz
Grade-I post offices & above.
